Hidden above a ravine in Beaner's Hollow is the
Wray-Barrickman house of 1835, a masterpiece
of perfectly-fitted hand cut stone.
The Dunlap -Feldman house on Market Stree in
Bridgewater was the home of a river boat captain,
and later belonged to the daughter of a former
slave, Lena Keller. It is being restored by Samuel
Feldman, President of the American Archives
Association.
"Craigbrae", the Chedester-
Wildman house on Division Lane
in Vanport, is reminiscent of the
gracious homes of the deep South.
The Stokes-Steel house above
Seventh Street features a terrace
completely paved with millstones
gathered from abandoned mills
in Western Pennsylvania.
