Confirmation of a report that the Freedom Oil Works Company has taken over the Vulcan Oil Refining Company was given late yesterday by E.J. Bischoflberger, general manager of the Freedom Company.
The deal involves the transfer of the $600,000 capitalization of the Vulcan Company, making the capital of Freedom Company now $2,000,000.
The acquisition of the Vulcan plant at Coraopolis
will increase the business of the Freedom Company about 25 percent,
Mr. Bischoffberger said. The gasoline filling stations of the
Freedom Company will be increased to more than 100 by the acquisition
of more than 50 stations which belonged to the Vulcan Company.
