The last of a well-known vauldville family, and New Brighton's oldest resident, Ferd Noss of 923 Sixth Avenue died at 4:05 PM yesterday in Beaver Valley General Hospital.

Mr. Noss, born October 3, 1866, celebrated his 99th birthday last month. He was one of the famous "Five Musical Nosses" who toured the United States with a song, dance and orchestra routine in the early 1900s.

He remained in relatively good physical and mental health until the last. He was still attending meetings of the New Brighton Board of Trade at the age of 94 and survived being struck by an automobile a few years ago.

His parents were Henry and Charlotte Noss. He was married to the late Margaret Little Noss and is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He lived in the house at 923 Sixth Avenue, where he was born.

Friends will be received In the Loyal B.Young Funeral Home, New Brighton, from 7 to 9 today and Thursday.
