- Don't fail to try Leone's nice fresh Jersey melons. They are luscious and cheap.

- The Mapes Bros. are the parties representing the Burchfield Light in this vicinity.

- Miss Miller, of Philadelphia, is visiting her sister, Miss Katie Miller, at the Orphans' Home.

- The Misses Hoyers, of Pittsburgh, have been visiting their sister, Mrs. Rev. A. J. Bonsall, for the past week.

- Mrs. L. A. Hibbard will resume business once more in Rochester, in September, in the room now occupied by W. A- Smith.

- Mrs. Nettie M. Johnson, who has been afflicted with typhoid fever, died very unexpectedly at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

- "The biggest bean we have ever seen" is in the garden of Mrs. John Stahl. There are several pods which measure 25 inches in length. Beat that.

- Charley Schropp not only possesses a fast horse but also two pet coons, presented him by the Rochester Fishing Club, which they captured while in camp.

- Annie, little daughter of Harry Gross, died Thursday morning at 6 o'clock and will be buried at 4 o'clock today. Rev. Lemcke will conduct the funeral services.

- Mr. Reinertz, who has been lying at the Orphans' Home with typhoid fever for some time, has so far recovered as to be out on the portico, Wednesday. The other patients are also improving.

- Joe Leone received, today, a car load of fresh Jersey melons, which he will dispose of at a very low figure. They are the finest melons ever brought to Rochester, and lovers of that fruit should not fail to embrace an early opportunity to secure one.
