The Standard Horse Nail works, one of the largest and most important of New Brighton's manufacturing plants, is now engaged in building an $8000 addition to its plant. The work has been in progress for some time and will be completed in a few months.
The company however is not satisfied with this, but their architect is also engaged in getting out plans for an immense addition to their machine shop. The dimensions of this new structure has not been decided upon, but is to cost about $15,000.
The forge department of the works is now running night and day to fill the orders now on their books. (1896)
