Vicary House Occupied

Milestones Vol 24 No. 2

We're in! The offices of the Beaver County Historical Research & Landmarks Foundation are now located in the Vicary House. The house is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No, the house isn't finished yet. There is much to be done. But the four downstairs rooms of the main building are nearly complete and are being used. Meetings of the Foundation have been held here since December, and other groups have used the house for meetings. Much of this miracle is due to the energy and enthusiasm of our Executive Director, Brenda Applegate, who has a knack for recruiting volunteers and getting things done.

Brenda, right, and two volunteers work at finishing the floor.

Bradley Applegate cleans the cellar walls.
