Buffalo Bill Arrested
Milestones Vol 15 No 1 Spring 1990

On July 29, 1927 Buffalo Bill was arrested on a charg of cruelty to animals and his BULL appearing at the Regent Theatre were arrested by Humane agent A.U. Doutch. Buffalo Bill was requested to give the Captive a shower to do away with the swarm of flies which was annoying the animal in his close confinement and failing to do so, Buffalo Bill was taken before Squire O.W. Prince for a hearing. Making a promise to be more considerate of his protege in the future on the recommendation of Mr. Doutch the man was given a few pointers on human treatment of animals by Squire Prince and allowed to proceed on his "Wild and Wooly Way".
