This book has been prepared in commeration of America's Bicentennial. The committee's purpose in publishing this book was to compile an interesting, factual, and nostalgic view of our town and hope that it will serve as a lasting momento of Freedom's contribution to the Bicentennial.
Freedom's Bicentennial slogan--"Freedom: Yours, Mine, and Ours" is a very appropriate one because it conveys the spirit of the residents and former residents who have provided this committee with an abundance of information. Without their cooperation, this book would not exist.
