W.H. Benson has prepared for the most extensive Easter opening ever attempted. His clerks under the direction of Ezra McLaughlin, have been working diligently for some time in arranging the offering of spring goods to a good effect. Under the clever ingenuity of window dresser McLaughlin, a very appropriate Easter window has been prepared representing the gates of spring. Tulips and smilax are deftly arranged with the color scheme of rose and green. Archways shut off the millinery and cloak departments in the rear of the store where extensive offerings of spring goods are to be seen. Miss Sours has charge of the millinery department. Throughout the color scheme of rose and green with tulip and smilax decorations is used. The spring shapes in head creations are the polo and Charlotte Corday, new French high back hats. The sizes are much smaller than formerly. The newest color is amethyst and all the greens from reseda to olive are seen. Plumes are used extensively. Browns and blues are used as of late. Flowers are an important favorite in the season's millinery. Braid hats are found in the best patterns. The store throughout is well arranged and trimmed and a credit to the buying public who are sure to be pleased with Benson's offerings. He has the largest stock and the finest goods ever presented.
