An objective of the Beaver Area Heritage Foundation is to acquaint the present and future generations of citizens with the past of their community. The human element is always of the utmost importance and interest. We should know something of the citizens who once were prominent in our community.
This paper tells the story of Matthew Stanley Quay, one of the community's prominent and outstanding citizens, who, in his day, as a United States Senator and as a political leader, was known throughout the State and the Nation.
